What kind of leather is used for your products?
We work exclusively with high-quality, full-grain vegetable-tanned cowhide leather—the exact same durable material traditionally selected for heavy-duty belts, harnesses, and professional saddlery. As an authentic, premium material, vegetable-tanned leather naturally evolves with use, breaking in ergonomically, darkening beautifully, and developing a rich, highly personalized patina over time.
Are your leather products handmade?
Yes, every single item is cut, hand-burnished, and finished entirely by hand in our private Miami Beach studio using traditional leatherworking techniques. We completely reject mass production, choosing instead to build every item individually one at a time at a custom workbench to ensure unique grain characteristics and pristine structural attention to detail.
How long does it take to craft and ship an order?
Most items are meticulously made-to-order by hand, meaning standard production pieces typically ship within 3 to 7 business days from the date of purchase. Completely custom or heavily tailored designs may require additional workbench time, and we will always communicate directly with you to provide clear, personalized progress updates throughout the crafting process.
How do I measure for a perfect custom fit?
To get a perfect fit for structural collars, utility belts, and wrist cuffs, wrap a flexible measuring tape snugly around the exact area where you want the leather piece to sit without pulling the tape too tight. Please provide these exact physical dimensions during checkout, as we will handle all the necessary mathematical adjustments for comfort, flexibility, and natural movement during the bench-crafting process.
Are your products built for functional or decorative use?
Our designs feature robust structural integrity, utilizing belt-weight leather and industrial-strength hardware like solid brass or stainless steel, making them sturdy enough for functional, light-to-moderate lifestyle play. Please note that these pieces are handcrafted artisan lifestyle accessories rather than certified industrial climbing or safety equipment, so always prioritize clear communication, responsibility, and consensual, informed safety practices.
What are your gift wrapping and packaging protocols?
To protect your absolute privacy, all orders are shipped in completely plain, unbranded, and opaque packaging with a return shipping label that displays only our fulfillment operator's personal name to ensure zero references to the shop's specific themes or leathercraft keywords. Please note that at this moment, we focus entirely on secure, private transit and do not provide decorative gift wrapping or custom gift packaging options.
Do you offer custom sizing?
Yes, because we hand-craft our gear piece-by-piece, almost every design can be custom-tailored to your exact physical proportions. Simply send us a message with your specific imperial or metric measurements before finalizing your purchase, and we will be happy to cut a custom pattern that fits you perfectly.
How should I care for my vegetable-tanned leather gear after use?
Proper maintenance preserves the natural appearance, flexibility, and structural longevity of vegetable-tanned hides, so we recommend gently wiping away surface moisture, body oils, or residue immediately after use using a clean, soft cloth lightly dampened with lukewarm water before allowing it to air dry naturally away from direct heat or intense sunlight. Periodic conditioning every 3 to 6 months with premium leather conditioners or pure neatsfoot oil is highly recommended to restore essential oils and prevent drying, and you can refer directly to our comprehensive website Veg-Tan Leather Care Guide for full, detailed instructions.
